David E. Thompson is a registered professional geologist and supervising geologist in the Surface Geology Division at the Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality. His work has appeared in Geological Society of America, Journal of the Mississippi Academy of Sciences, and Mississippi Geology, among others publications.
