Suzanne Marrs, Jackson, Mississippi, is professor of English at Millsaps College. She is the author of Eudora Welty: A Biography and One Writer's Imagination: The Fiction of Eudora Welty, and she is a recipient of the Phoenix Award for Distinguished Welty Scholarship.
